Great evening with some very nice people and treated so well. Food was great and the owners couldn't be more hospitable. Richard Llewellen-Davies opened the show. A very fine Welsh singer.
So far so good. Everything has been quite amazing so far. 2 great shows. Saw some good friends that are more or less family at this point.
Brighton was magical. Anthony and Kim Duke were such gracious hosts putting on the Americana Music Series and having me at their house. The lovely Danni Nicholls opened the show and was fabulous. We sang a duet of one of her songs "A Little Redemption" and also sang "A Song For You" by Gram Parsons, and my song "Bluebird". Had a great evening last night. Some of the best sound I've had in a long, long time. Weber speakers and sound system. The folks there Weberfest really took care of us. We head to Canton, OH today. Playing George's Lounge tonight with Carrie Mcferrin and Rich Mahan & the Cocktail Heroes. I'm really living these solo shows as I get to try out new material and some stuff I don't get to play very often. I felt really good about last nights set. 5 songs. One Of These Days The Homplace Carousel Paper Heart Skin and Bones Hope to see some folks out tonight in Canton. Going to be playing an acoustic set with Maria Kowalski tonight at the downtown Puckett's location. Lots of new material. Tonight at The 5 Spot I will be singing 6 songs by the Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers & The Band. Going to be a good night! |
